FEATHER AND INK

You and I are in the same page,
We may be in another place
And be of a different age,
Yet, we are in the same book
Even if in another phase
We do deeds and seek for meaning
Or just sit on the empty stage,
One believes in god
And the other in the prophets and sages
One collects flowers,
The other the ‘’green and beige’’,
I might write in crooked lines
And you’ll have a full and perfect page
In the end what really matters
Is how happy we can be,
You choose the lines of the pages
But the ink is chosen by me.
We are wrapped in the mantle of time
You and I living in the very same page.

This is utterly beautiful, I enjoyed reading very much x
Oh, thank you so much Marion.
I couldn't sleep the night before (usually sleep like a log), so I got up
and wrote this. I am glad it touched you.
I love the way it's written, split like our minds, left and right hemisphere battling to be our guide, our heart placed solely in the middle, screaming, look at me.
Hello Nine Eleven,
I think the way you see this poem is really interesting. And your words
"left and right hemisphere'' gives me an idea for a poem. Will try to
write one and see how it goes. Thank you.
How very much enjoyed my visit here .. Neville
So lovely to have you in my page, Neville,
you're more than welcome! Happy writings.
After reading is to count oneself fortunate to be here and admire what you have written Bernadete.
A most elegant poem from one's heart and a captivating one also.
Perhaps one shouldn't analysis it too deeply and simply accept it for what it offers and then become swept away.
Thank you for sharing.
I know, it's a very late reply but I feel that I have to say something. Thank you
very much Shaun! Your kind words gives the poet a huge encouragement to
keep writing. I used to say that I write to myself, but I've learnt that there is
an immense beauty in sharing our writings. It just warms one's heart.
Stay well in whatever you're doing. Warm wishes, B
