February Lovers
Caught up in the dance
February lovers entranced by the ewws and ahhs of love .. blasphemously cling to stone cold lovers blind to unblessed unions formed but not from up above..
Mimicking replication the precice imaging of romance.. strangers to one another but both caught up in the dance...
Frosty bites of bitter cold soon roll in amongst the candy scented air...Foreshadowed forevers of promises pressured by the season but not of care...
April showers brought May flowers for a puddled love that never bloomed..Unrelating relationships drenched In the arrogance of loving love but not there lovers drown forever doomed....

Beautifully writtenβ¦β¦.
Thank you π€
I love the rhymes in this poem and "strangers to one another but both caught up in the dance" is a great line. "Candy scented air" is a wonderfully descriptive phrase. And promises pressured by the season but not of care suggests something to do with Valentine's Day. For me it's a sad poem but superbly written.Β
I actually wrote this with a sadness in my heart for all the people who get caught up in loving love but never truly experience it. People to busy knowing what they think love looks and just going through the motions to actually find the right person to go through it all with. Relationships are personal not interchangeable. Find YOUR Person not just a person π€
You can beat an egg and a drum but you just canβt beat a good bit of February love particularly when itβs undertaken covertly and unashamedly .. So very warmly yours, Neville π€π₯π
I'm impressed with this one. Some interesting messages written throughout. Colour me intrigued Raechel!Β
Oh, where do I start with this one? I love the way it rolls off the tongue! Where it rhymes, it rhymes and where it doesn't it still flows beautifully β like a silken river. It's written well and it speaks of shallow love in the month of Valentines day. It is written with a sharp tone that makes this poem simply sing. An accomplished write x
