Feet of Glass

Feet of Glass

Reflections of my life:

Scattered pieces
of my shattered looking glass

Slivers of happiness
shiny and bright

Sparkling back the light
like stars in the night

Amidst my joyous scene

I notice my feet are bloody

From the shards of misery

I always seem to step in

Happiness and misery

Anchoring teeter totter ends

Everything else in between

is sheer monotony
