Feminine Nature

Feminine Nature

by being comfortable
in my feminine nature
should I automatically
assume danger?
let’s get out of here
build a home by the sea
small and tall
a simple place to sleep
look up to the stars
so they can guide me
prayers for stairs
to break the glass ceiling
there’s no use in looking back, see?
risk it all for a dime piece
work and work and work
we can play later
it truly takes a village
and we’ve got family to feed
this is no time for desires
be still while you light this fire
the best things take time
and I am indeed
a delicate fighter

Woww i like how you express your fab muse here on fine free verse form. I like how you wrote, 'delicate fighter' and prayers for stairs'. Kudos!!
