Fields of Heather

In meadows purple hue
CΓΉ sith bids adieu
Teardrops on briny moors
Caress highland shores
Mourn nigh beloved true
Respite swiftly ensue
Mists on emerald loam
Usher to celestial home
High upon cliffs of Dover
Banshee wails rage over
Foretoken divine ascent
Earthbound resistance relent
Nary fear nether keep
Faye on high guard thy sleep
Be still morose croon
Vex not yonder moon

Hi Poetess,
Excellent - capture many things,
I wish I could do too.
Love,
Terry.
xoxo :)
thanks Terry
I confess I had to look up cu sith. It definitely fits your poem. This is almost like an ekphrastic poem. You have the purple hue and the mists in the distance. The rest is in your imagination and what a story you weave. Almost like a medieval Scottish romantic poet. Love the last verse. Forgive me for saying but I'm not sure if the third line of your third verse should start with hastening. Great poem.Β
