Fifteen Months

I’m dreading this coming Monday, for it’s the day and exact date;

That fifteen saddened months ago, I lost my little mate!

It happened without warning, it caught me so off guard;

One day going for his “walkie”, the next, fading right in our yard!

I cry for him each day now, I long for him to touch;

My heart drips the bloods of sadness, for it loves him so very much!

At night my sleep has shortened, for hours I toss and turn;

As I was addicted to his pure love, and my body for “it” yearns!

I’ve tried to get a little stronger, and curtail some of my tears;

But the memories keep on streaming, of all our “Golden Years”!

So I know on this next Monday, I’ll be blue as I can be;

For it will be exactly fifteen months then, since my soulmate had leave me!
