Fighting Against the Current

I always find myself trying to swim up a waterfall
Always trying so hard to get to the top of a liquid wall
The current is really strong but so is my determination
Becoming weak from trying is causing some temptation
I have the will and believe I can make it through
Seeing myself standing on top with complete sight of the overview 
I knew from the start that this would surely be hard
Knowing the strength of the current I'd forever be scarred
Once I get to the top, I can stand tall with a smile upon my face
Knowing that I have this accomplishment to forever embrace
The difficult task sometimes causes me to feel so frail
But When I reach my goal I can be proud that I didn't fail
With the struggle of fighting the current but having self control 
I know that I have a very long time before I reach that goal
I'll continue to fight the current regardless what you say
I know that in the end I'll come out better than just okay
