finding my heaven

.Do you remember honey?
So many years ago now.
I was lost and you found me.
You said I had sad eyes
And took me in and
cleaned me up 
You gave me a home.
I thought how
beautiful you were.
And wondered what
on earth you ever saw in me.
But you said I had a kind heart.
Why you married me
I will never know.
You said because I was gentle
and would never hurt you.
I said I felt like I was in heaven.
You said heaven is a
different place for everyone.
Well after all this time
I can say I found my heaven
It was with you
and the kids my love.
You fixing something
about t!he house.
Me with our children in a circle
telling them about
when you found me.
If there’s another heaven 
waiting somewhere.
I don’t want it love.
It can wait awhile.
