Finding My Way

laying on my bed and thinking,
what have I done with my life,
a mother of 3 beautiful children,
and once I was a wife.

 I gave all my love with no questions,
A devoting and dutiful path ,
 I gave one hundred percent,
but you gave me only half. 

My children have all grown up now,
They no longer need my help, 
My husband moved on to another,
so now I take care of myself.

Finding my way through the darkness,
walking back into the light,
Finding my own self worth,
Finally love will be right . 

God has stretched out his hand ,
to heal my wounded soul,
finally I have a reason ,
Christ Jesus is my goal .

He is the only reason ,
that my body has a soul .
without him I am nothing,
I would be but an empty hole. 

I simply wouldn’t exist,
without Jesus in my sight, 
I am his earthly princess,
a warrior ready for  flight.

Finding my way is now easy ,
when Gods shining his light on me ,
all the love and power, 
I am now so free.
