Fine

Push back, nothing to hold onto and grasp.
Morning to dusk, I can't seem to see the sun.
And if you came a little closer to my view, I would turn away and laugh at you....
'Cause where were you when I needed a friend?
Where were you when my tears were shed?
And where were you when my heart bled?
Where were you?
Where were you?
And if you cared, you would've probably been there.
Grasping my hands, sure and strong.
But sometimes the dog chases the ball, and sometimes the lessons mean nothing at all.
And we hurt.
And we cry.
And we tare at our own flesh.
But where were you when she needed a friend?
Where were you when he needed a shoulder to cry on?
Where were you, where was I, when they said everything was just "fine"...
And where were you?
Where was I?
Where was I...
