Poem -

fire

beeping in my ear.

heart pulsing with the fear.

men on yellow foot,

running through the soot.

wont give into the smoke

no, I will not choke.

crawling down the stairs.

saying all my prayers.

blackness fills the air.

where am I?, not there.

I float through the gas.

like a weightless mass.

I look down towards the ground.

and see a lifeless mound.

a girl that looks like me.

set free.

I see a shining light.

the end, but not so quite.

the men with yellow foot

smoke and ash and soot .

they surround the lifeless mound.

and race it into town.

they place me in intensive care.

never do I want to go back there.

I'm pulled back in.

I see again.

pain,and my mothers face.

the second one makes my day.

I never liked death any way.
