Fireflies

Fireflies

"I miss you", she says, and as she gazes at me with

That sensual poise, her words warm

The icy caverns of my soul and ignite the firesĀ

Of my bones

Like fireflies within a rich and velvet twilight

Guiding sailors home to their weary lovers

The promise of such a fateful meetingĀ

Gives hope the chance to rejoice

"My love",Ā

I miss you in our silences, for your voice

Is the sun that liberates the unfolding of the rose

In this silent realm, my heart hardens

Like the frozen world that your absence has banished me to

That's very well written. I enjoyed reading every word. I look forward to seeing more :)
