First Astronauts To Mars

First Astronauts To Mars

Rocket fuel ignited,
Descending to that place,

We had just spent the last 9 months
Hurtling through space,

The moment has arrived now,

The red dust beneath our ship,

We are all very excited,

After a long and boring trip.

Studying for years now,

Through the vigilant rovers view,

To get some ideas how,

To colonise a crew,

Embarked onboard are habitats,

To grow some of our food,

And wonder what complications,

Would alter in our mood.

Six months into our mission,

Only 4 of us survived,

One night a massive dust storm,

They couldn't be revived,

The sand blew like a blaster,

Ripping open a habitat,

3 were working inside,

And that was the end of that.

This planet is a death trap,

Not safe for human beings,

This planet is trying to kill us,

We're living off spuds and beans,

We tried to dig for water,

But all we found was dust,

And people know all too well,

That water is a must.

The next mission should bring along,

A water making plant,

And some soil to sand additives,

To give our food a chance,

I am going to sign off now,

As I spot a flying disk,

It doesn't look like any ours,

I hope we aren't at risk...........

Hello Glen...

We don't have to worry about that...

Democrats won't let them have all the fun...

They want to be the ones to do it...

There's lots of proof...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...
