First Love

First Love

We were so close once,
Without secrets and without lies,
Young, free and so very wild,
Long ago we loved unconditionally,
Yet such love demands insanity,
Either tranquil or burning with rage,
So completed we were together,
As if nothing could rival this feeling,
Nobody could ever compete,
We were so close once upon a time,
Screaming and fighting for love,
Truly insane it has all become,
Youth boiling in our veins,
Your tender eyes have loved me so...
But I wasn’t ready for such love,
Forgive me now if your heart can,
I may have done it all wrong,
Yet I loved you with all my might;
As we flew to loves burning light,
I'm sorry, I realized it wasn’t my flight....
