Poem -

Flowers for you.

Flowers for you.

Flowers left for cafe dwellers
Feasting upon morning dew,

The bones that held you so beautifully
Your skin that held me to you.

I never thought on that day
Your lips could wear a painful red,

I never saw your body fall
For the passing of you was never said.

Now I hold you in my arms
Through the dust and powerful breath,

And lay you beneath the sun
To soak your soul in death.

The creation of such destruction
Are my fears layed out to see,

For the loss of your presence
Would mean the loss of me.

Remember the stalks of angel wing
That hugged the delicate petals,

And the lullaby lightly whispered
As your soul so gently settled.

For beneath that shattered glass
And the screams of lungs in agony,

God was present in magnificent glory
To don this fatal memory.

Thank you Tony, it's been a while since we talked, thanks for the kind words, I really missed those stars and rockets, this poem has a lot of depth, I haven't lost anyone myself and for this I thank God but I think it represents all what's going on in the world right now, how one day you can be sitting quietly in a corner cafe enjoying every moment with the ones you love then the next day, facing war in the face. I've tapped into that misery here and finished with what I can only hope is God on the other side of the veil, waiting to greet us with open arms, God finally finding us.

Thanks again for stopping by, don't be a stranger

Thank you Marion,

Sometimes I feel like I'm screaming into a vast void, like a tree falling in the wood's with no one around to hear it.

Thank you for your presence x

Incredibly sad and beautiful missing that special soul yet forever knowing they are still with us if but in a different form. Love these lines.

Now I hold you in my arms
Through the dust and powerful breath,
And lay you beneath the sun
To soak your soul in death.

Truly relatable 🌹
