FOOD IN A BAD MOOD

My food tonight is in a real bad mood 
They don't want to express their gratitude
Sausages are battered and the meat is stewed
The bananas not in bunches but solitude 

My food doesn't want to appear on a plate 
Nor in a dish and is in a right old state 
The onions are still crying when I start to peel
It's as if they don't want to be part of this meal 

I will leave them in the fridge so they can chill
Will remove only when I am ready and not until 
Get over your bad mood dear food is what I say
Or I might just leave you and order a take away
