Poem -

For love, though lost

For love, though lost, doth linger still,
A shadowed wraith on yonder hill.
In twilight’s grasp, where dreams doth fade,
Its whispers haunt the night’s parade.

A rose, though wilted, leaves behind,
its fragrance sweet, in heart and mind.
A star, though fallen, lights the way,
In darkest night, to break of day.

For love, though lost, is ne’er in vain,
Its echoes sweet, a soft refrain.
In every tear, in every sigh,
For love, though lost, doth ever lie.
