There is this person 
I know so well 
Who's always by my side 
Through thick and thin 
And painful times 
Her arms are open wide 
She has her life 
As I have mine 
She's not that far away 
Her visits often 
Just to chat 
She has so much to say 
Her life's been rough 
Her scars are many 
But still I see her smile 
She works so hard 
At what she does 
She should really rest awhile 
Take time off 
To see the world 
Explore and have some fun 
Now's the time 
To act not think 
And care for number one 
You've done your job 
You've raised three girls 
Who love you for who you are 
So I'll proudly say with a smiling face
