Distant in my mind you are, a faded wish, no shooting star.
I turned away from the sky to see, no destiny with you or me.
I don't look up, there anymore. Not the way I did before.
In the moon, I saw your face. Now it's just like empty space.
I miss the beach, to stroll the shore. I can't do that anymore.
To hear the waves, and smell the sea. But you can't be there with me.
I'm so alone, and dead inside. Heart that aches, I try to hide.
I write this with a heavy heart. Not feeling wise, and not so smart.
I don't know what I did so wrong. Vulnerable, and not so strong.
Why don't you just leave my mind? The hurt returned in full rewind.
I close this poem all teary eyed. For you again I wrote and cried.
