Poem -

FORBIDDEN FRUIT

A tender plant grew up right before my eyes

The years flew by and to my surprise

Flowers began to bloom

Vibrant in youth a desired fruit

Should I ride the passion of the wind

Guilty feelings challenging my desires

As my heart filled with love sings

Across the fence I stand

With a yearning in my heart

And the word caress

Tattooed in my hands

Tempted to touch

My emotions like a volcano erupts

I begin to shake in my knees

At the thought of what could be

Ever part of my being

Began to move towards my dream

But my feet like led

Could not defy gravity.
