Foreshadowing

When the curtains draw heavy
You'll delete the space surrounding you to keep the light out
Could've fooled me with your cries
I thought you were distressed
You'd have me on the run by the time you were through
Throw me out if I'm dirty
Tarnished love isn't love at all
If my back snaps when I hit the pavement it's ok
The snapping back of my heart into reality hurt a hell of a lot more
It'll crack like your knuckles did before you delivered the final blow
Let me see the stars again
Last time I saw them you were kissing me
Now they'll imprint in my eyelids when I dive to darker places
You can't go were I'm going
Couldn't take you if I tried
But you could've fished me out
But I think you'll consider finishing me off
I'll be the new dead thing on your checklist maybe
Or perhaps the latest cut on your hand
I hope I scar
