FOREVER DAY
His light warms my day
Hushed now is the laughter we shared
Stilled are the dreams we nurtured
His spirit still loves the fragrance of memories that drift from his favourite blooms
I see his sparkle in the heavens
His eyes shine in rainbows bright
His familiar words still echo in my soul
I hear his whisper in the gentle breeze
In the trees and their swaying leaves
He is within me
His love stills my pain
His spirit holds me
He has not gone from me
He is the other half of me
For he is my forever day

My Dear G,
This has me crying still, for in it I feel the reflections of my own soul. I'm going to pin this and read it every morning at Nico's mantra service. I can honestly say I have never been so deeply moved by a poem. I just read the last line again and got chills on my spine. "For he is my Forever Day". This is the epitome of heartfelt poetic beauty.
