Forever Young

The yellow brick road has cracked and torn. The rainbow is 
fading; withered and worn. Red ruby slippers are graying with 
age, poppy seeds, replaced by sage. Peter Pan has grown a 
beard. Hook has finally sunk. Tinkerbell has taken pills; now 
no longer shrunk. Alice isn't wonderful, and the hole has been 
caved in. The mirror is broke and lonely, cards are played again. 
Snow White died from an apple, her prince cried upon her chest. 
The dwarves, just gnomes in the garden. One lined up with the 
rest. Mickey's eaten by Pluto, and Minnie died at birth. Darkwing 
Duck lives in a small pond, Donald doesn't know what money's 
worth. This is what happens as children grow up. Memories 
forgotten, stories die. Never grow too old to love . . . to keep 
these stories alive
So I keep all these childhood memories
buried deep within 
To spread the happiness to the next
generation to come
Hoping that these memories never fade and drift away
