Forget the Day...

Forget the Day...

She's a good girl, doesn't believe in herself,
She's an angel, thinks she's living in hell,
She's stronger than she'll ever think,
She's a perfect mother on the brink.

She's on the go day to day, nobody knows her mothering pain,
She speaks of a thousand hearts, but missing the beat of her stage,
The stage of a struggling mother,
The place of an a acoustic lover.

Time tells us to forget the day,
My head on her chest, listening to her heart race,
Time tells us to forget the day,
I never wanted this to happen, I never wanted it this way,
Time tells us to forget the day,
She'll find happiness in another day...

As the day pours out red crimson anger,
It sets the tone for another day shorter,
The stress of her day gets even darker,
Raising her head is getting even harder.

She has to carry on being who she is, because that is beauty,
She has to carry on being who she is, because that is reality,
The school runs, the rushing around not for herself,
She should be so proud, I know she has the strength.

Time tells us to forget the day,
My head on her chest, listening to her heart race,
Time tells us to forget the day,
I never wanted this to happen, I never wanted it this way,
Time tells us to forget the day,
She'll find happiness in another day...

Nobody wanted it this way,
This is just what life has gave,
Love is a cruel game,
It's a romantic masquerade,
She'll find happiness in another day...
