Forgotten Bike

Forgotten Bike

Left all alone, locked.
My wheels rusted, my seat stuck.
I used to take him to and fro.
Now people pass, they walk by;
I've become a sideshow.
I am forgotten.
I look rotten.
I am unsalvageable.
I remain confined;
a prisoner on the ground; erasable.
I have no name.
I am so ashamed.
Why have I been neglected?
Was this your prospective?
With each passerby-if only they heard!
The sadness, the fear-I speak without word.
Please remove the chains that bind.
I am a bike, a perfect find.
Release me and fix me up;
All I require is a checkup.
With oil on my chain and my seat.
A new paint job, I'd be neat.
I could take you to and fro.
Please be kind and let me go.
Don't just stroll by and gawk..
I can serve a purpose;
but until that day, I remain..... locked.
