Four Days Till Forever

For many years I searched for love, my heart oft sad and blue;
But my quest was ever ended, that Thursday night that I met you!
The moment that our eyes locked, my heart opened instantly;
When we touched my soul soft whispered, “My mate this lady be”!

Our first dance I held you closely, never wanting to let go;
My body filled with passion, I thought never would it know!
We talked that night for hours, your words like psalms upon my ears;
When we kissed goodnight our lips met, and my eyes shed happy tears!

I called you eight hours later, to go out on our first date;
The rest of that Friday I went crazy, to see you I could not wait!
We had dinner then we cuddled, in your living room till late;
The next night at a Halloween party, we masked the beauty of our fate!

We parted at almost dawn’s light, went home to sleep then met again;
Five hours later we reconnected, at thirty minutes after ten!
We drove to lovely Rockport, to share our passions by the sea;
Then we went downtown to Boston, for Teppanyaki and hot sake!

On Monday night I came back over, and we pledged our love for e’er;
I asked of you but one thing, great lengths to grow your hair!
From that night on we were together, I moved in to never part;
On June fifth we were married, our “Wife and Husband” life to start!
.
Now twenty five years later, we still kiss like that first day;
Our love brought us to Shangra-La, and forever there we’ll stay!
Our hearts are joined eternally, our souls each met their mates;
On that Thursday night in Randolph, we were blessed with Nirvana’s Fate!
