FOUR SEASONS
of our Lives
![FOUR SEASONS](https://cosmofunnel.com/sites/default/files/styles/full/public/2024-09/227090200165.jpg?itok=ERXAH9kD)
SPRING
The first bud to greet dawn and leap into the arms of life
will develop leaves if the soil gives and nourishes,
as with too much heat it will wilt and perish…
in the hands of a good gardener it will flourish and grow
SUMMER
The fields, irradiated with species and colours
partaking in this wondrous myriads of blooms
where knowledge spills from the petals,
offering new opportunities from morn to noon
AUTUMN
The petals weaken, but not the willpower
to be a strong flower ready to pass on
the pollens collected over the seasons
where new and sturdy seeds will replenish
when the parent seed moves on
WINTER
Mother and father of all seasons
has seen life’s splendour
in abundance walking to him.
Time calls to drop the vail to a heavenly rest
and open the way to a new and fresh field,
as the cycle must continue…
Life cannot sit still.

this and sending a nice comment. How have you been lovely bird?
Very well written and thought provoking, Bernadete. Good job. M.
Thank you Matthew, it’s very nice of you. And this goes for every reading and feedback. Sometimes I don’t reply, but please know that you’re very much appreciated. Stay well & happy writings to you. B
Awww, thank you Bernadete, that’s very sweet of you, I appreciate it, and I think you’re great. Almost finished a poem today, maybe tomorrow. M.
Fitting that you start with spring. It's that season in your hemisphere. "Leap into the arms of life" is a lovely expression. And I love irradiated as a verb not seen often in poetry but perfect here. But most of all I love your portrayal of autumn - the season of the gift of the old to the new - perfectly portrayed in your words. "Mother and father of all seasons" is a great phrase.
Nice concept behind your poem.
Very much appreciated dear Bernie, for taking the time to read and send your thoughts. I love metaphors, always have.
I am glad you like this one. This poem is very dear to me. Stay well my friend. B
Here in New England we also enjoy the four seasons. Now just turned Autumn and the squirrels are storing acorns like crazy for the winter. Wonderful ✍️
Hi John, you live in a beautiful area surrounded by natural beauty and great cities. You have the best o both worlds.
Nature is our muse, isn’t it?!
You have certainly demonstrated how seasoned a poet you are Bernadete .. This is a fine example from your burgeoning portfolio ..
a real work of art in every sense .. Tis indeed terrific ma'am .. Neville
What I love the most about sharing poetry is when people feel the poem. Either sad or happy or just a little humble writing, but when one “feels”, it sends music to the the writer, and the notes bounce back to the reader. It’s a symbiotic relationship. Thank you for being part of the journey. You ma’am ed me, so I have to Sir you, Neville.
Perhaps that's why nature appeals to our souls so much B...we see our own lives and mortality played out in the four seasons again and again. You write of such things very beautifully x
Yeah, the four seasons make the world full of characters
and the Nature is great, full of surprises.
Thank you Yiyan for taking the time to read this and sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated.

Dear Bernadete,
I have now added your verses to those which I quite often sing by Frankie Valle and "The Four Seasons".
Peace and Love,
Larry
Oh, the good oldie from the 70s??? ''My eyes adored you'' I like that one.
Hi Larry, good to have you here and thanks heaps for reading my poem and
taking the time to send your thoughts. Much appreciated. Bernadete
