Four Steel Doors

Keep going
Go on
Far away
From attack
Let
The
Steel doors
Close firmly
Behind
Your mind's back
Four steel doors, five
Feel them
Locking
In place
Now
No thingΒ
Can reach you
Every bolt
Guard's
Your space
Sit long
And breathe for
You know
This space well
Safe here
From life
And
The madness
Of hell
Outside

Bang goes my theory about steel doors .. N xΒ
Well now...now you have to tell me your theories...spill...π€©π
a gentleman neva tells .. but they are tough to crack, unlike an egg xx
I am going to imagine big steel doors next time someone upsets me. Walls can be knocked down x
Sometimes I want to stay in that little room forever...trouble is life still manages to bang on the door with a real largeΒ hammer...there is no real peace, when I was young me and all my friends were trained to duck with the simple command...hide!!!...shouted by our mothers who couldn't pay the coal man, the carpet man, the rent man etc ...nowadays such people would stand outside and phone, txt, email, WhatsApp, twitter etc etc etc probably and continue to bombard. This isn't about bills though lol...just a simple need to be left the fuck alone...Β thankyou my friend x
I remember hiding from the rent man and milk man, at times. Mum just said , "ssh... mustn't let him know we are here!" And we did shush. And we never asked why! Lol x
Wow...lol...really!!! Must have been a 'thing' all across UK then!!Β I had family up the Rhonda and occasionally one of us would get to stay up there with my two maiden aunts and my bed ridden great grandmother. They had a parrot who would screech ( everybody down...it's the fucking coalman again!!!)Β every time there was a knock on the door. I kid you not...it is one of my most delightful memory's of early childhood lol. I also remember being given tinned peaches and bread and butter for tea by them...uuurgggh! ...would be called child abuse today πππ
