Friendship's Prophecy

Friendship's Prophecy

Once upon a time

In a land not far from mine

Is a girl who saw the Future

By looking in my eyes,

Now I already know what you think

That I’m telling a myth

Or a story plucked from the skies,

But what she saw

As she stared into my eyes

Was beyond the reasonable mind:

I’m alive says the radio

As I flick my cigarette ash out the window,

“In a black Range Rover with an older man

Driving across American desert” she said,

And it reels in my head-

Staged prophecy, crowds screaming,

I spent 20 years of this life Dreaming.
