FROM A DISTANCE

FROM A DISTANCE

From a distance
I watch the sunrise
From a distance
I saw the panic
and the manic
In the faces
In many places
so brace yourself
and keep at apace
from us all

From a distance
I saw the tears
In there eyes
and the fears
In there faces
So if you care
stay away every
day. and say prayer
To all and hope the
world never falls

From a distance
i saw the sunset
Hope is all we need
As we all cope
From a distance

Our Dear Greg,

This is one of your best poems ever.  So sad, that it has to come under these tragic conditions.

From a distance, I daily look out
Upon the face of humanity
Where once there was such happiness
Now teardrops do there be

All our love,
Linda and Larry xxx

Hi Greg, outstanding poem - extremely well written!

I like the repeating lines: From a distance, it's exactly what is happening around the globe. Although, I'm very reclusive by nature it has been a struggling time for me as well. Thankfully, we have creative writing. I woke up with a lot of anxiety today, so I turned off the news and logged in here. Whew, I already feel better. Thank you for sharing your poem.
I'm becoming a fan!
