FROZEN

I saw her in passing
And as she draw near
I violated my adolescence teaching
It's not polite to stare
But I was drawn in
By her enticing eyes
And succulent lips
Without shifting my eyes
I saw her hips
A beauty to behold
Her strides were of confidence
The sidewalk was her runaway
I tried to gather my thoughts
Of what to say
But the all slipped away
Like the long gone shadows of yesterday
So many thoughts
Came crashing to my brain
This woman without a spoken word
Has left me drained
She passes by with a casual smile
Tossing her hair into the wind
Looking over her shoulders
I am sure, I heard her whispered my name
I froze like one captured by an aver lance
My tongue cleaving to the roof of my mouth
But as we continued walking
In opposite directions
Frozen in time
Was my heart, love, and affection.
