FROZEN

FROZEN

The day that she remembers

Was the day it fell apart

A note to say goodbye

A note that tore her heart

It broke her life in two

She was wounded and so lost

The tears fell down like snowflakes

Her heart encased in frost

And so no love could touch her

Was the ice queen from that day

No warmth from any person’s arms

Could melt that pain away

She rebuffed all men’s attention

Didn’t care for misplaced charm

No one would dare to love her

All she’d do is wish them harm

A woman that once lived and loved

Hated men for all her worth

She wandered through her path of life

A lost soul upon this earth

‘Til the ice one day began to melt

Her hard exterior exposed

What was this sudden ray of sun

A warmth it now imposed

She no longer felt a harshness

In her heart or in her soul

This light that now transpired

Left her complete; half of a whole

And as the ice rained downwards

A deluge of hurt and pain

But this man was not for leaving

Hung around; walked through the rain

The rainbow grew above them

She the clouds; and he the sun

With him now by her side

Happy times had now begun.

Wow Rachel and, as always, a poem of beauty, from one of the best in the business, a life at the rainbows end and beyond, all realities of life  and love, now beyond "dreamt," expectations, are now, attainable "concrete," realities.......A powerful poem all the way through, and it appears that, even the,(grown to be ), "coldest hearts," can be penetrated and re-acclimate themselves, especially when the heart, begins to speak, the "combustion" of the "central" soul. Forever, once again, being the subject, to the most, sought out emotion, in our possessions,(lil) black book, of "LOVE,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,," Always the strongest remedy around........ But really enjoyed this wonderful poem, an extremely well written, piece of literary art and well told story... This is a intense, yet heart melting, told story, of a managerial heart coming face to face with the persistence of the hottest, of all and any, dates,(the sun).... lovely piece of poetry by a queen of poetry and friend at heart....

Kind regards, Mrs.(J.G.)
