FRUIT TOWN

Two bananas were on the bus going into town today
A natural occurrence in this town I have to say
On this bus they saw Mister and Missus Grape
Going into town for this couple was a perfect escape

The town was very busy with pairs of pears also there
All the apples weren't too concerned and didn't care
Mister Raspberry and Mister Strawberry went on ahead
Both were discussing the virtues of being red

Mister Melon and Miss Lemon were having a chat
They liked nothing better than to chew the fat
So in fruit town they all got on except old Mr Lime
I won't tell you the reason for I haven't the time
