Galaxies

Galaxies

Waking to the new day,

Yet my visions are of a night sky,

Gravity grounds everything before these eyes,

Yet I remain motionless underneath the crushing weight of my mind,

The sun reaches out nurturing and warming all it crosses by,

Yet my touch makes life wither and die,

Air blows the world gently through the fire,

Yet my breathes escapes me in short cries,

This universe has a place for all who reside,

Yet I seem to be lost in my own demise,

Is anyone out there?

I can only comprehend an eternity of silent darkness,

Falling through a bottomless dark hole in time,

Sliding on a frozen lake,

Slipping towards the pit,

Is there an end to this?
