If the black could be forgotten
Night the blight of yesterday,
Finger tips grow numb upon the dimming of lights,
Copper tastes upon the tongue,
Coughing up the air in our lungs,
A downward spiral into what we looked at the thought of brighter days,
Wishing upon the swinging stars as they fade,
If we could just close these tired eyes,
Let it slip silently away,
So we can sleep peacefully the agony of these days,
Why are we so unforgivably awake,
God just let these weary minds take a bleak break,
Life is an eye drying nightmare,
The horrors of all seeing marketing mainstream cable,
burn images in children's young hearts,
We've grown numb,
ALL HAIL THE COLD AND THE DUMB,
This is no place for those who are warm and want to better some,
Jump,
Pull the plug,
Doctors have a cure for those who feel love,
Pop those pills you might just fit into the theme of America,
I'm done.
