Gargoyle King

Gargoyle King

Immortalized in chiseled stone,
Sentinel atop cathedral throne.
Vacant eyes ponder all it oversees,
Pigeon jesters, frolic rooftop eaves.

Alcade of church going mass,
Deemed unworthy for celestial pass.
Wings unfurled, keen to take flight,
To soar amid stars at midnight

Β King of gabled domain,
Cast in ashlar, e'er to reign.
Alas, bound in rigid stone,
Gargoyle perched on tower throne.
