Gender

Gender

“Life began in the lap of your womb no wonder,
The ecstasy of emerging out from that cosy shell seemed no less than thunder.
The melodrama and the rituals that followed, left you overburdened,
The news of my planned demise left your soul saddened.
I have been dreaming and longing to touch your hand,
You are making me slip like the intangible sand.
Your so called advisors proclaimed I will be no good,
I will be chopped with a knife inside of you, isnt that atrociously crude?
Dont get me wrong as I know this decision was never yours,
I wish you stood up and fiercely confronted the force.
That day of proceedings will never be forgotten mum,
You killed me rather than owning me and proved all your promises were numb,
I became a matter of disgrace
When tests revealed my gender,
My termination was excruciatingly painful, no wonder.
Mother earth embraced me without any huddles,
I am waiting for my sister to join me in this puddle.
My conviction is so strong about your next abortion,
Easy done under anesthetics, what they remove is your own portion.
Rethink mum if you want to let go of this one too,
And how many after this one, answer me by your virtue.
I honour you and love you forever in eternity,
Was a baby boy so pertinent for your husbands sanctity??
