Gentle Man

Whatever this turns out to be,
he'll always have a part of me.
His gentleness and simple ways
have nursed me through some hellish days.
The candour shining in his eyes,
makes up for all his pointless lies,
they show he's really listening,
though he denies he'll take it in.
Then, when I'm feeling really low,
he proves how much he's come to know.
His kisses make my senses soar,
my body crying out for more,
and as he slowly makes me his,
the spark between us starts to fizz....
our eyes will meet and hold us there,
and through them, both our souls we bare.
He never makes demands or dates,
it suits us both to stay as mates.
His strength has helped me come this far,
he nudged my 'new life' door ajar.
