Getting Use To Starless Nights
It is always...
An overcast ofÂ
Mother nature's emotions,
Dark starry greyÂ
In wanting winter's wayÂ
Where hopeless romanticsÂ
Such as a lonely sunÂ
Shine not,
In mother's methodsÂ
Periodically purging Sharp shards of teary rain,
When....
Can all but death is an endÂ
Forever loversÂ
Wish upon a starÂ
Surrendered from millionsÂ
Each match a fish in the seaÂ
One less in a barrelÂ
Shooting endlesslyÂ
Into our great
Ever expanding universe,
How are legends born?
And rightÂ
Able to take seat in the lightÂ
Or ponder a schemeÂ
Some day slip intoÂ
Squandered dreams,
If said minds shunnedÂ
Unbaptised of starry lit nights,
Virgins of ancient constellationsÂ
Go untouchedÂ
By burning passionate eyesÂ
Seeing less of a love spread wonderÂ
Now that it does....
But rain all the time.
Does weather really hide the truth?
We certainly knowÂ
It affects the mood,
I'd rather bunker down in rain
Alert the doctorÂ
Who all but knows of the constant head pain.
My newest appreciationÂ
For one radiant dayÂ
With lonely sunÂ
And cloudless blue skiesÂ
Over the hundredsÂ
Filled with flooding tears,
Soon....
Leaden skiesÂ
Will fadeÂ
Thanking GodÂ
This grey has gone the hell away,
All wondermentÂ
Gazes towards black skied citiesÂ
Realizing not, a vast mysteryÂ
In need of explorationÂ
But a reflection of youÂ
And your reflection lusters
Through millioned mile distancesÂ
From black defining mirrorsÂ
Reminds me....
It's not oftenÂ
But rareÂ
One can radiate so beautifully.

Hi Devon,Great write, love these lines
"Soon....
Leaden skiesÂ
Will fadeÂ
Thanking GodÂ
This grey has gone the hell away,"
Nice, Cheers.
Thank you Cleo! That is a great moment when those dreary grey skies break to sunny blue skies. Much love and appreciation for you.
Hey Devon I have had my fair share of darkened  days and never ending treary rain . I hear you man from every line . Very much enjoyed. The sun does eventually comes  back shines bright as ever . Cheers bro your friend rock
Thanks Rock, skies seem to be sunny and then cloudy with a snap, what can you do. Pray hard for the sunshine. Peace.
Bees love the sunny days, yes Devon, the sun wont last forever and the cloud and rain will roll in but that's when you put the feet up and sit back to think of those sweet sunny times. A most enjoyable read.
Hey Bee, you would definitely know. Honey tastes much sweeter on those sunny days too my friend. I appreciate the comment and I will definitely take that advice lol.
