In desert, dwells sand of time
Blistering tis index climb
Sun hammers cobblestones
Airflow dry as bones

Never wander in ghastly heat,
Tis only ones maker you shall meet
Night tis most in favor
Cool tis breeze to savor

Keep vigil tis good advice
Weary traveler quietus too high price
All shadows have malevolent eyes
Seeking flesh tis craved prize

What’s that? Light in distance
Sprint to path of least resistance
Fair maiden by campfire
Your company she’ll desire

Trickery in hazy light
Rank tis air in pitch night
She shifts to hideous beast
On sinew she’ll glut and feast
