" A GIFT ~ From A Murder Of Crows "
In the dusty submission, of life's daily remission
My soul could not find simple forgiveness
There was a murder of crows, I'm guilty I suppose
Of not doing things in neat little rows
The bullet hit his face ~ he fell, the crows frightened as well
Left me standing in a pool of bloody hell
And as the murder flew away, into this most horrible day
He spoke his dying words, "My friend, I am not afraid.."
For the rest of my life, those words haunted my nights
The murder of crows, the wingspan of my mind
And the burgeoning recognition, the insanity of my predisposition
For the taste of blood, I became a physician
I danced upon toes, created by a murder of crows
My heart grew as black as liver's blood, when it glows
And though I could not sleep, human organs I did eat
Which allowed me, a tortured way to dream
In these dreams I composed, opera's to tortured souls
Lives I had taken and given to, a murder of crows
An indignity I had gained, from a dying man's final refrain
My friend, he had gurgled, I am not afraid

I have only read one of Poe's poems for an assignment when I was in junior high but for some reason this write made me think of him. This is one of my favorites from you. It's twisted, unique and different from your usual poetry. You are definitely one of the best writers.
With Love,
Val ♥️
Hey Val!!....I'm twisted.....what can I say (lol!).........you're gonna kill me cuz I wrote you this two page private message the other day and when I hit send the whole thing disappeared......I was so angry I threw my cup against the wall.........but i'll write again soon.....promise..........hugs.........T xo
Aww Tony!! That really sucks! I hate when you write soooo much in a message and then it just suddenly disappears! Extremely frustrating!! I'm so sorry you threw your cup...I don't want you over there throwing and breaking things!! ;) I miss you dearly and look forward to hearing from you when you have time. No worries...trust me I'm always here for you!
Val ♥️

Thanx so much Mr M!!..........I really love that you had a chance to read this..........I enjoyed writing it.........thanx brother..........hope all is well with you..........smiles......T xo
As a huge fan of Edgar Allan Poe's work I have to say this was unique and amazing, Poe himself would be interested to hear this, it was full in content...if that makes sense I feel as though you didn't really leave anything to be desired with this poem. I enjoyed reading it the whole way through...but I did feel like you was going to end it with "A murder of crows" for some reason nonetheless a superb addition to my favorites

Curious!!.....you're becoming one of my favorite cyber-friends...........quickly..........so humbled by your kindness..............and it's interesting because I did toy around with the idea.........of ending it with "A Murder of Crows"...........certainly would have been more Poe-Like........but..........I was trying to drive it home with "he had gurgled" in that final line............thanx for being cool!!.............Love and Rockets!!..........T xo
Well, I'm honored and you did really drive it home with your last few words, "I am not afraid" just hit me like whoa, touching and so brave, I was speechless for a minute..much love
A friend, CO
T how are you, me brother? really enjoyed talking to you the other day man, I'm still laughing... it was a treat, you're a funny guy....hey this poem is really quite good; the metering is indeed Poe like, but to be honest I didn't initially see this one in the famous poets subject until I read the comments....I will read it again for further enlightenment, I've read it a few times now and it keeps revealing more, very cool when that happens....tone and construction hums and of cause the metering.....ode to enjoying a poem even when you don't fully understand it, yet... such is the power of the genre in the hands of a superb poet, looking forward to talking soon, T.... cheers bro.
Hey Mamma Jamma!!.........so glad you caught this one.........actually I didn't realize that there was a famous poets category..........I suck at keeping up with that stuff.........sorry bro.........I enjoyed the talk too man........wow!!.........you can make me laugh C!!.........you actually remind me a bit of me (lol!).......which is probably why were laughing so much..........similar sense of humor (YAY!!).......... thanx for the comment & I too am looking forward to more conversation & writes & a visit perhaps ......THAT would be so much fun!!...........ttyl..............T xo
