Poem -

Girl

Amongst the city lights,
A girl walks down the road.
Her hair is long and her dress is short,
Her mood is down too low.

She struts down the pavement,
With her perfect high heels.
She can feel the tears but pays no mind,
As she keeps up her appeal.

Perhaps she should have stayed,
As the young, naĂŻve girl.
Where love meant forever,
And forever she could twirl.

But instead, she’d fallen,
Right down from her high chair.
And for money she must do it,
For money, she doesn’t care.
