Poem -

Given up

Her beauty overpowered her

Her sadness had disowned her

Her heart spoke of curses upon her

Her fate loomed on her

Watching the demons fight over her

She finally gave up the strength that kept her holding on

Broken, she threw herself over the edge

Hoping that she would free herself

She was stranded in purgatory,

with no one to turn to

The voices in her head blamed her,

Hellbent on self-destruction

Not even God could save her from herself

She kept falling, falling deeper into the ocean of self-hate

Until she breathed in the fumes of his perfume

The scent reminded her to keep fighting,

keep fighting until her knuckles bled and

the burn marks faded away with his memory.

But it was too late,

She'd given up the fight

She'd given up on herself
