God Has Blessed Us

The United States Of America.
What does it mean to your Spirit in truth?
What do you picture when you envision her?
She has come, such a long way since her youth........

Yes, it is true, some kinsmen have not chosen well.
For there will be evil while on earth, in every land.
But, still God has blessed America!
I choose to be fed by His Hand!

Therefore, 'tis my view, as my Spirit sees-
An abundance of blessings lighting our way!
Ah! My eyes look beyond, our country's complications-
As I watch the American Flag dance, in light breezes today!

I see a neighbor on her porch....delighted-
As her family comes in to visit and warm!
I see children going to school for learning-
I see resolutions being found to life's storm.

I see our military. Ah yes, I am proud indeed-
To be living in such a land of honor today!
I see business men and women at work-
I see solutions, production...all on the way!

I see smiles and laughter in many!
I see kind hands reaching out to the poor.
I see the elderly being loved and respected.
I see an apple pie dropped off at the door!

I see lovers strolling down the street!
I hear the train conductor letting the whistle blow!
I see an old friend that I adore!
I see in a baby....precious life's ebb and flow.

I see a cashier lending someone a smile.
I see the street cleaners working at dawn!
I see a doctor helping to heal the sick.
I see a hardworking coal miner, come through my door!

I hear people singing the gospel!
I see a co-worker help a person in need.
I see medical progress advancing!
I see those who were discounted.....succeed!!!

Oh yes, my heart rejoices in all that is good!
On such, my mind chooses to dwell!
For evil shall not conquer me.
God's Spirit lives within my shell!!!

To all our Veterans....a heartfelt thank you!
For all of the above, I have been blessed, to hear and see!
It could not have happened dear Sir or Madam-
Had you not have served this country of the free!

Yes, we have our problems here.
But people, Open your eyes!
There is no where on earth better to live!
We are blessed to have these family ties!

The Red, White and Blue----Let her fly!!!
Ah! May we soar! God's blessings are true!
Seek to find good, it will be there!
Yet, first, you must let it come through!
