"God Knows I Know"

"If only,
when I was lonely,
all those times when I was high,
and instead of the drugs,
that were using up me,
I wonder what place in life,
so much better I would be,
because in that bottle,
I would drown,
and suck,
because no faith was found,
in that cup,
well I finally got tired,
of staying glued to the ground,
enough was enough,
and I threw away that bottle,
and that designated cup.

It was just,
a crutch,
that made me think,
I didn't matter much,
but I am important!
People still care,
if I am alive,
and how I fair.

So listen up devil,
go find another pawn,
to tempt to get drunk,
for their families to find them,
passed out on their front lawn,
because I am sick and tired,
of playing this little game!
I've learned finally,
after sticking my hands,
in your flames,
that I cannot use drugs successfully,
and even if I could,
I wouldn't dare,
because God knows,
I know there is a Heaven,
