Poem -

God Made Me A King, She Made Me A Husband

Lifting me up from depredation
The plundering and looting
Both from within and without
Saving me from robbery's wreaking

Shadowing me in His pavilion
Under the shelter of God's wing
Hiding in this secrete place
Where I have learned to shout and sing

Forgiven and giving me a new life
I can now stand in confidence
In a hope braced in true peace
Living in God's sweet presence

Making me a man, then a king
No, my kingdom is not of this world
I'm just here passing through
But here it starts with a simple girl

My pass irrelevant
She makes my presence
Fixed in this life for her good
This is my kingdom's essence

My time her time
Her time ever my honor
We press toward the mark and high calling
Under Prince Emanuel's banner

Her gift to me
The name husband
Now my girt to her
Guide, friend, king and simple man
