Gone Fishing

Gone Fishing

Dedicated to the memory of Joseph Patrick Stehle 12/27/52-6/9/18

Joseph Stehle left us last Saturday, for the big pond up in the sky;
To go fishing in the lakes of Heaven, large whoppers on every first try!
He will be waiting for his Soulmate Kimberley, to join him there some day;
To hold again in Paradise, and forever there to play!
.
His dear kin and friends will miss him, he left their sides too very soon;
In the nighttime, when they mourn him, they will weep beneath the moon!
But his legacy will live forever, in their hearts and in their Souls;
They will tell stories of his greatness, and forever him extol!
.
This writer never met Joe, but heard tales from his Soulmate Kim;
About their precious trips to Florida, great fish caught by her and him!
So to Kim, my deepest condolences, in this time of your utmost pain;
But God will be watching over you, and some day, unite you both again!
.
.
                             Life is but one phase
                        For our Souls will reunite
                             At Gates of Heaven

                              Lawrence D. Ran

If I've said it once I've said it a hundred times.
There is no greater gift than the gift of poetry.
You honor Kim's beloved, dearly departed husband and your friend well in this touching tribute to his memory, Larry.

Dear Dean,

It was quite a shock to find out that someone you have known for twenty years, in one instant became a young widow.  We were just talking with her six weeks ago about their wonderful fishing trip they took to Florida in March, and all the whoppers they had caught.
I hope that when she read this poem and letter that we sent her, that they brought her some comfort.
The only greater gift than poetry, is becoming poetic Soulmates with the people that create it.

Love,
Linda and Larry xxx

I agree, Larry. That would be a shock.
Have a Happy Father's Day weekend, my friend.
