Poem -

Good-bye

I sat on the chair, and held your hand as I entered a grief ridden dispair. I stroked your hair, and kissed your cheek, knowing that this would be the last time we would ever meet. The memories you left were so bittersweet  of a past full of your loving care. If you had stayed a bit longer my life would have been brighter. I know you watch me from up above and come to me in times of need. A faint smell of your perfume warms my heart and brings sweet childhood memories flooding back. Although you are no longer here, my sweet memories of you I will always treasure and hold dear.
