Grandma's Protection
Grandma’s protection wasn’t just any normal protection
It was her life, her cause, her main objection
I felt invincible knowing she was my grandma
She stuck up for me even if I was the flaw
Her protection was never bland, always strong and raw
She was a tough old lady
Some people even called her crazy
Grandmas protection kept me alive
She protected me when I tried to commit suicide
Her legacy lives truly through me
Where I grew up to be loving, open, and selflessly
I never really learned how to fight
But I knew how to turn a wrong into a right
Without her here, all her protection is gone
Without her here, all my bravery has become undone
Her protection was sincere, it was truly humble
Now without her here, I shut down, I crumble
And without her protection, i grew quite hollow
And in her footprints, I long forever to follow.
