Granted

Granted

You won’t find your answers in the books.
And I shook – as I took in what that really meant.

As I look upon the crowd – I search for hooks. For hidden teasers and poisonous minds.
As I ask – who am I?

But a frown amongst these rows of smiles.
But a whisper amongst grandstands of shouts and screams.
Amongst the never noticed, the never heard of ever again, the never known about;
The never wanted to be seen.

You won’t find your answers in the books.
And I shook – as I took in what that really meant to me.

Can’t you see?
I’ve spent – so long as to educate I wanted to differentiate.
The wise from the unwise.
The coy from the unkind.
From the handshakes and these gestures. I preform every day.

No one can stay in such a place.
Not forever. Not for long.

Thing is;
You won’t ever take it as it stood.
And I should – have been the one to let you remember.
And now I know more than I could.
And I should go.

For such a conversation.
Doesn’t flow.

Nicely, down the paper.

Tina, have you ever kept a pen and paper next to your bedside table? I did, and this was the product. I crafted it whilst whispering to myself in bed. I can't do it anymore, because I'll never fall asleep!
